It is my understanding that most people in the world are, purely and simply, unhappy. Maybe not from a small time frame point of view because, I guess, it is possible to be happy at some moment in time but I'm 100% sure that, regarding relationships, everyone is globally miserable or will be. Let's try to elaborate. Most people fall into one of two categories: Those that are single and seeing no one, and those that are in a relationship. Now, I've discussed this with many people from both categories and the conclusion is plain and simple: The single ones are miserable because they are not in a relationship and, by definition, are lonely. On the other hand, those that are actually in a relationship, are miserable because they would rather be alone (be it because they don't get along with their partners, their relationship does not feel "perfect", they would rather have multiple partners, you name it).
