First the bad:
- My secondary screen goes black (and comes back on) everytime I start any application; - Evolution says I have -7 unread messages; - The latest kernel makes my screen go black and I never get to see anything (suffice to say I'm using the previous kernel now); - The pc speaker module temporarily changed name to snd-pcsp and today is back to pcspkr; - Galeon (or evolution, one of them) keeps creating "untitled document" windows that have no content; Now the good things: - The stocks applet seems much cleaner and overall better; - The overall look of fonts looks nicer; - There's a new HP printer manager; - The menus are much faster. Actually the whole system feels more responsive. This is just my necessity of bad mouthing something in this Dutch summer morning that actually looks like a cold winter night. I think the Ubuntu guys are doing a tremendous job and I am really glad that (usable and simple) alternatives to winblows are available.
