I found myself thinking about live lately, and decided that it was a good time to sit down and write some good things about myself. Whether you call it egocentrism, narcissism, self love, self awareness or enlightenment, in the end, it serves one and only one purpose that matters to me: To keep realizing the great guy I am :D. So, without further delay, here are 6 of the motives for my happiness right now:
1. Cycle to work One of the things I mostly enjoy about living in Amsterdam is the ability to cycle my way to work every day. No driving a car, no public transportation, no carpooling, just me and my bike. And the path is actually pretty amazing: Beautiful water canals, a lot of trees, even a freaking pirate boat parked outside the innovation center of Amsterdam (NEMO). All in all, this might be what I will miss the most when I leave, one day. 2. A great job Damn, TomTom is an amazing place to work. You get the opportunity to use all the latest technologies (most of them proposed by you), you have freedom to experiment with new things and, all things accounted, the pay is not so bad either (could be better, of course, but who does not complain about their paycheck anyways? :)). 3. A great place to live Granted, I will need to move out in 2 months, but it is an excellent rented house, by all Dutch standards: Gigantic living room, great bedroom with a balcony, washing machine, drying machine, Dishwasher, a bathtub(!!!) and, above all, 5 minutes cycling from TomTom. 4. Excellent health I'm currently in perfect health, feeling amazingly well both physically and psychologically. My morale is super high and my creativity is thriving. What else can I ask? :) 5. The weather is currently not so bad Ok, so you have to be take into account the normal (rainy and windy) Dutch weather, but lately it has been really sunny and warm, so there is nothing to complain and much to rejoice :D 6. A sense of style Yes, it might sound ridiculous, but there is nothing like feeling good with oneself. And one of the boosters of self confidence is a general sense of style. And I have it, baby! This gives me more confidence than I ever felt. :)
